There are several similar caves in between the Niah cave . It is also known as the great cave and it is very easily accessible . People always ask Why it is easily accessible it is simple because there are plank walks built for tourists to walk on.
While walking all the way to great cave it has so much attraction and affection because around these planks there is a river different species of tress animals etc are to be seen . The floor area is calculated at almost 10 hectares .
During 1950's and 1960's Niah Cave was the most focused place for archaeologists .
so notable discovery was the skull of a man found by harrison .

Discovered By :-

First Tom Harrisson  led an archaeological dig at the west mouth of the great cave . In 1958 discovery was made which confirmed Niah as a major site for archaeological significance . They unearthed a skull from the Niah cave which was estimated as 40,000 years old .

The Niah cave has 5 openings or the popular word used for the Niah cave openings is Mouth .
it is worth taking your time and walking you will see wildlife along the way . Squirrels , colorful birds , lizards and Butterflies and so many different kind's of insects .
Occasionally the walking can be dangerous because of some unusual insects and animals . like flying lizards or etc .
After you went deep in the Great cave you will listen birds chirping and see the birds nests along the caves corners .
